FIN-UWEZO WILL IMPROVE FINANCIAL EDUCATION IN SA
Fin-Uwezo is a public awareness and engagement platform to help consumers understand their finances, build their financial capability and wealth acumen through moderated Fin-Talks, Fin-Connect and Fin-Lifestyle platforms.
The Global Financial Inclusion Week takes place between the 21st – 25thOctober. With it being close upon us. In keeping up with this global focus, Fin-Uwezo are organising a Financial Inclusion/Freedom Lifestyle Event. This Financial Freedom Lifestyle Event takes place on the 26thof October 2019 at The Venue, Melrose Arch.
Their Financial Talk session and event offer delegates financial education and lifestyle experience such as financial celebrity guest appearances and financial talks from prominent celebrities. Great networking opportunities and platforms to stimulate strategic partnerships and new business relationships.
“Most financial events get boring for the delegates, they sit in a room and listen to people talk and then leave. We wanted to do something different, we want to incorporate fashion and lifestyle into the event. Make it more engaging and fun at the same time develop our South African fashion industry.” Says a spokesperson from Fin-Uwezo
Some of the themes at the event will be The state of financial literacy in South Africa, Financial literacy and capability (usage and quality of financial products and services, Market conduct and consumer protection, usage of mobile technology and the informal market (digital financial inclusion and alternative access) and attitudes, behavioural and cultural dynamics in relation to impactful use of financial products.
On the day there will be a red carpet , a cigar lounge and great music/entertainment. “I think it is so important that we make financial education attractive to our youth. Many of them don’t understand the basic concepts of how to build generational wealth and we feel we can fill that gap.”
